Your vehicle has been finished with Peelclear, a spray-applied, removable paint system that protects your original surface while transforming your vehicle's look. Designed to perform like real paint and peel away cleanly when properly maintained, Peelclear is built to last.
Proper aftercare is essential to maintaining appearance, performance, and long-term removability. With the right care, your Peelclear finish will continue to look sharp and perform as intended over time.
Curing Process
Your Peelclear peelable paint continues curing after installation. Following the restrictions below during this period is critical for long-term performance and peelability.
First 7 Days
Keep vehicle dry and avoid rain exposure. Do not wash, pressure wash, or use automatic car washes. Avoid touching treated surfaces and keep away from fuel, harsh chemicals, and abrasive contact. Protect from heavy contamination such as tree sap, sprinkler water, and fallout.
First 30 Days
- Hand wash only
- No polishing or correction
- No solvents or degreasers
- Use caution around edges
Minor visual variations or light installation marks may be visible during curing and typically stabilize as the film fully cures. If you notice unusual bubbling, lifting, or other abnormalities, contact your authorized Peelclear installer promptly.
Maintenance
Consistent maintenance preserves the appearance, performance, and long-term removability of your Peelclear finish. Wash regularly based on driving conditions and environmental exposure. More frequent washing is recommended in demanding environments such as dust, coastal areas, road salt, pollen, or industrial fallout.
Do
- Hand wash regularly
- Use pH-neutral automotive shampoo
- Use clean microfiber towels and wash media
- Remove contaminants promptly
- Dry thoroughly after washing
Don't
- Use automatic car washes
- Use harsh chemicals or cleaners
- Use abrasive tools or materials
- Allow contaminants or chemicals to sit on the surface
- Wash in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces
Washing Method
Hand wash only using proper techniques and materials:
- pH-neutral automotive shampoo
- Clean microfiber wash media
- Microfiber drying towels or filtered air drying
Contaminant Removal
Remove contaminants as soon as possible, including bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap, fuel residue, water spots, and environmental fallout. Prolonged exposure can affect appearance, performance, and removability.
Pressure Washing
Improper use can damage edges and treated surfaces. If used:
- Use low pressure only
- Maintain safe distance
- Avoid edges and seams
- Do not target lifting or damaged areas
Environmental Exposure
Clean the vehicle promptly after exposure to road salt, industrial fallout, harsh chemicals, fuel spills, marine salt, wildfire ash, tree sap, or bird droppings. Extended exposure may reduce performance and appearance over time.

Check-ins are intended to document product condition and support warranty eligibility. The Warranty Portal may request:
- Vehicle photos

- Maintenance confirmation
Failure to complete required registration or scheduled check-ins may affect warranty coverage.
The Peelclear warranty applies to qualifying product performance issues resulting from verified defects in the Peelclear system. Conditions outside normal use, including improper maintenance, incompatible products, environmental exposure, or improper removal, may affect warranty eligibility.
These aftercare instructions are provided to support proper use and maintenance but do not replace or expand the written Peelclear warranty. In the event of any discrepancy, the written warranty shall govern.

- Improper maintenance or removal methods
Records to Keep
